Mechanical Engineer (Machinery)

  • At present we have x1 vacancy for the role of a Mechanical Engineer. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a minimum of 36 hours / week.
  • This role comes with a competitive hourly salary rate ranging between $27.76 (minimum) ~ $30.00

(maximum) based on skill level.

The Role:

The role is Auckland based with travel involved New Zealand wide. You will be required to install and commission metalworking machinery, provide training and after sales support to customer who purchase machinery of various kinds from us. Our product range vary from CNC Press Brake, Guillotines, Fibre
Lasers, Drilling & Sawing Machinery.

Your core attributes and skills include:

  • Have a general understanding of machinery and a comprehensive understanding of Sheet Metal

Machinery including Press Brakes, Guillotines and Fibre Lasers or a willingness to learn.

  • Operate CNC controllers, setting up and machinery calibration.
  • Apply your Mechanical engineering knowledge and experience to provide on field service support.
  • Representing the company in a consistent and professional way, with honesty and integrity, in line with the values set out by the directors of the company.
  • Work both in a team and as a self-starter, to work autonomously with effective time management to run your calendar to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Willing to assist with infield service/breakdown work as required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A BE / B Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Have a current driver’s license.
