duties
Provides treatment services in any capacity including but not limited to assessment, medication management, and disposition of both adult, child, and adolescent psychiatric patients to include making arrangements for hospitalization if needed.
Provide routine, intensive, complex and emergency intakes and extended evaluations for a variety of emotional, psychological, developmental, and behavioral disorders in children and adolescents.
Uses variety of evidence-based psychosocial treatment modalities, including individual/family, and group psychotherapy.
Develop individualized biopsychosocial treatment plans based on a child or adolescents diagnosis, personal and family history, current family situation, laboratory and other diagnostic tests and procedures.
Uses behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy as well as psychotropic medication interventions within an outpatient/inpatient setting.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires regular contact with children under the age of 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency records.

Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete and maintain credentialing and privileged requirements.
This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) subject to pre-employment drug test and random drug testing.
This position is subject to screening and update of required immunization.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual season influenza vaccinations.
This position requires on call duties.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Basic Requirement for Physician (Psychiatry): Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Psychiatric Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Accreditation of the American {Psychiatric Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the US Medical Licensing Examination.
Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Graduate Training: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Psychiatric Medicine degree, a candidate must have had at least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed
