Job Duties and Responsibilities

Weekend Shift (Saturday-Sunday)

  • Greet upon arrival ensuring a safe, comfortable, efficient and personalized experience
  • register patients according to established protocols
  • request required information from patients and assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation and print required MOH requisitions
  • ensure patients have followed necessary test protocol prior to specimen collection
  • Complete data entry of required patient demographics, requisition information
  • Data enter all patient and test information for MOH requisitions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Verify the completeness of all OHIP documentation, update, maintain and manage patient records ensuring patient information is accurate including billing information
  • Prepare paperwork forms for special test collections, such as medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials, and complete related documentation
  • Process add-on test requests and subsequent specimen selection orders
  • collect co-pays and payments
  • answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries and transfer calls as required
  • schedule patient appointments
  • Prepares packages accurately for transport per assigned procedures and protocols, with regards to incoming and outgoing post/shipments and arrange courier service ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Prioritizes safety by demonstrating appropriate infection control maintain stock of forms and office supplies complete other clerical duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Shift work
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Auckland City, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
