Practice’s professional nursing care in an autonomous manner supported by evidenced-based practice, professional standards of care, and code of ethics. Provides care for patients across the life span in a manner sensitive to social and cultural diversity. The Registered Nurse manages the nursing care in an interdisciplinary manner, in collaboration with the healthcare team, family, and significant other.
- Current Ohio State license as a Registered Nurse required.
- BSN preferred. If Associate degree, must show progress to obtain BSN within 6 months of hire and earn within 3 years of hire.
- Has practiced as a Registered Nurse in health care within the last 3 years
- ACLS Certification. Professional Level CPR required.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with strong interpersonal skills.
- Requires critical thinking and prioritization skills.
- Critical care experience (3-5 years) knowledge of cardiovascular medications and administration of IV fluids and contrast, routine care of cardiovascular patient, and cardiovascular emergencies/operating room.
- 6-12 months of on-the-job experience to obtain a minimum level of proficiency.
