Financial Accountant

Four Js Development Tools is a well-established software company headquartered in France with 90 employees distributed throughout the world. It is a leader in modernizing legacy applications in the IBM niche for mission-critical applications.

Four Js Development Tools wishes to expand its European Finance team. The company is currently experiencing high growth and wishes to attract talented Finance professionals to assist in modernizing the finance function to allow continued growth.

The job is located in Shannon, Co. Clare, with good possibilities to work from home several days a week. We work a hybrid model where attendance at the office is required from time to time and in particular during training and roll out of process improvement projects.

• Manage all accounting transactions for European and other worldwide entities.
• Help prepare budget forecasts
• Prepare financial statements for Group reporting
• Meet all financial reporting deadlines of its publicly listed parent company
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings and reconciliations
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivables
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes – with external advice – and prepare tax returns
• Manage payroll
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
• Analysis of business and forecast variances

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including US GAAP and IFRS
• Hands-on experience with accounting software; SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero, in use, but virtually any major accounting software experience will qualify
• Hands-on experience with tax and payroll
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Experience with consolidated accounts
• Hands-on experience with intercompany reconciliation
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Additional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA)
