Job Title: Project Coordinator

Our projects range from metal buildings only, to complete development of sites on a turn key basis. We also provide industrial and commercial general construction services including renovations, demolition, equipment and structural installations and facility modernizations. About the Job:

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the General Manager in sourcing, procuring, and executing small and large scale operations according to project specifications, budget, and schedule within health, safety, environment and quality standards. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Complete tasks associated with initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing of a project;
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures;
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, cost tracking, and work in progress tracking;
  • Ensure projects adhere to HSS safety, environmental and quality frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project;
  • In coordination with GM establish work plans, budgets, and staffing for each phase of the project
  • Plan construction methods and procedures, organize, and direct pre-construction activities
  • Obtain all necessary approvals, insurance, bonding, permits, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor system (log) to track purchased materials and delivery schedules
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Other duties expected

Skills and Experience:

  • A mixture of formal training and 3 plus years experience in industrial or commercial construction project coordination is preferred.
  • Engineer in training would be an asset
  • Experience in metal building procurement and construction is considered an asset.
  • Planning, organization, coordination, and time management skills is highly critical
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling and project control software
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
